Character Counts at Esperanza

At Esperanza Elementary School we use the six pillars of character (trust, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship) as our model for positive behavior. In our classroom we know the importance of having good character, and that means doing the right thing EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING! Each month a new pillar is highlighted school-wide. As you click on each pillar on this page, it will show you definitions as we have learned at school, books to read (most available at the Esperanza library), and family discussion questions. I encourage you to talk to your child about these pillars, because having great character is so important! Enjoy!
